This artwork and mock-ups were created for my submission to the 2026 Post Wave Prize for Illustration, based on the theme Time for Tea.

These pieces were inspired by an ice cold day when my husband and I went for a xc ski. After huffing and puffing around the track and taking a few falls in the snow, we found a sunny log to take a break. We brought along a delicate tea set and stopped to slowly brew a cup of tea.

That moment was so peaceful. The quiet of the forest seemed to settle around us and the snow sparkled bright. I wanted to capture that feeling in this artwork. I imagine the rest of the story to be about slowing down and noticing the small things.
